Hi there 👋, I am Thomas.

I blog here (less often than I would like!) on topics related to programming, you can also find some of my amateur photography work. At my $DAYJOB I work as a machine learning engineer wrangling LLMs and whispering prompts.

What I'm doing now

Some of my currently unfinished side-projects include:

• magicgrad - fully featured autograd library in Uiua in X bytes, where X is close to 0.
• 1brc - the One Billion Row Challenge in Rust/Metal, currently on the sideline after wasting a bunch of time working on an optimization that is not rule-compliant.

Past projects

• mamba2-minimal - A minimal, single-file implementation of the Mamba-2 model in PyTorch.
• bootstrap-icons-vue - A Vue component library for Bootstrap Icons.
• Advent of Code 2020 (OCaml), 2021 (Python), 2022 (Java, Python) and 2023 (Uiua, Python, Helix).
